Fair question, and one I struggled to see before actually starting the game.So won’t that get repetitive and boring? No, because roguelike games are procedurally generated, meaning you have a random ‘floor’ created every time you start a new game (runs can be given a ‘seed’ to make it not-so-random).Defeating them will give you a win and end the current run But what is a win? Roguelike games generally have an end game objective, mostly in the form of bosses.Don’t bother getting attached to a particular run, because it will end fairly soon through either success or defeat You don’t save progress once you die or even if you win. ![]() So what is the roguelike genre?
